Welcome to Forsyth Aikido

So everyone asks, what style of Aikido is Forsyth Aikido? I really have no answer for that question the more I practice. The closest I can say is we are similar to old style Aikido, perhaps a more Daito-ryu or jujutsu then Aikido. We prefer a more physical and rougher style then the current money making trends out there today. To best explain it though is by feeling it. I have no more words for this day’s generation but to please come and try a class. We are not concerned with rank nor what organization you have decided to affiliate with. We will train with anyone at anytime and hope you share the same attitude. We all put our pants on the same way at the beginning of each day. Aikido is an extremely effective martial art but does take time to learn. The path, michi, is long but beyond rewarding. You will be held to higher ethics and the path of Budo will guide you along the way. Aikido is a defensive martial art that will hold you accountable to much higher standard then what today’s society has sadly become. You will strive to defend yourself and your family. You will NEVER start a fight but learn to end them immediately. This path is both verbal and physical. Happy New Year and I hope you all find yourself in 2010.
