Class Details

Due to Sensei Pishock’s schedule as a Gwinnett County fireman, training will be held 3-4 days a week on a rotation. Training is intensive; to sharpen the mind, one must also sharpen the body, and although Aikido is an art that stresses relaxation and reliance on technique and spiritual strength over physical fortitude, your limits will be pushed. Every class begins with light stretching, PT, and Tohei Sensei’s aiki-taiso.   In order to ensure safety and to improve the physical conditioning of the student, we will push you PT wise to get in shape.   All experience levels are welcome, but expect to train hard. Admission to the class is solely at the discretion of the instructor, who retains the right to remove students from the class roster for lack of attendance or dedication. Only those serious about studying traditional Japanese budo are advised to apply.

The Aikido taught at Forsyth Aikido is derived primarily from Sensei Pishock’s study under both Shihan Fen Ackerman and Sensei Roy Suenaka. Despite its defensive nature, Aikido is and will always be a martial art.  Let the kami's of Budo guide you.
